Gerald NelsonSubject: deleting desirable spaces
Author: Gerald Nelson
Date: 03 Sep 2001 03:04 PM
In my xml, I have the following
Many economic policy statements made by both the Republicans and the Democrats are normative rather than positive economic statements. Visit both the Republican and Democratic Web sites and compare and contrast their views on how to achieve economic goals.

When I use the indent xml command from edit, the space before is deleted. For some tags, the space after is deleted.

Is this a problem with the software or with my understanding of how white space is treated.

Regards, Jerry Nelson

There are a couple of inline tags that got swallowed up by the html. Take a look at the source to see what I mean. Jerry

Hi Gerald,
you are right; this is definitely a problem with the software (AKA bug). We will fix it as soon as possible.

Thanks,
Alberto
